## Story

Coco: Nova, every tree looks exactly like every other tree. And they're ALL chiming at me. Differently.

Nova: The crystals refract sound as well as light. Our compass readings are bouncing off every surface. We have seventeen possible directions and zero reliable ones.

Coco: So we're lost.

Nova: Technically, we know where we are. We just can't get anywhere else.

Coco: Nova. That IS being lost.

Nova: Wait — through the trees. That small amber light. It's not a reflection. It's steady.

Coco: A light means someone's home. Let's go!

Zinka: Visitors! ACTUAL visitors. Sorry — four of my arms just knocked over the same beaker.

Coco: We didn't mean to startle you. I'm Coco. This is Nova. Our shuttle crash-landed in the meteor shower. Flux capacitor is fried.

Zinka: Your flux capacitor. You have a shuttle with a dead flux capacitor.

Nova: You know what that is?

Zinka: I have a whole shelf of them. I'm Zinka. Stranded six months. I built a navigation orb but it lost its compass-stone in the Echo Grove. I have capacitors but can't leave.

Coco: You have flux capacitors but no compass. We have a compass but no flux capacitor.

Nova: If we help you find your compass-stone, will you give us a capacitor so we can fly home?

Zinka: Every single one. But the Echo Grove isn't like the rest of the forest. The crystals there reflect things you don't want to see. Your own doubts. Your fears.

Coco: You've been alone here six months?

Zinka: Yes. I went into the Grove once. Heard my own voice saying I'd never get home, that I wasn't clever enough. I turned back.

Coco: Well. You're not alone now. Let's go find that compass-stone.

Nova: Stay close. Zinka — if you hear something that sounds like your own voice, tell us.

Zinka: There. It's saying I built everything wrong. That the orb was flawed from the start.

Coco: Zinka. You built a full navigation system from scratch, alone, on a planet you didn't know. That is NOT someone who builds things wrong.

Nova: The crystals show fears, not facts. Keep walking.

Coco: Nova. I can hear it too. Saying we'll never find our way back.

Nova: You spotted a single steady light through a thousand reflections, Coco. That is not someone who stays lost.

Zinka: And Nova? What does the grove say to you?

Nova: That logic alone won't get us home.

Coco: Then it's lucky you have a monkey who runs on instinct AND an inventor who builds what doesn't exist yet. Your logic is plenty, Nova. We just add to it.

Zinka: There! Between those roots — small and dark. Almost invisible.

Coco: A black pearl. That tiny thing is your compass-stone?

Zinka: That tiny thing is EVERYTHING.

Nova: It's warm. Even out here in the cold, it's warm.

Zinka: Compass-stones remember where they belong. Just like we do.

Coco: The orb is glowing! It's spinning!

Nova: Navigation orb fully operational. Zinka — you can go home.

Zinka: And so can you. Mark-7 flux capacitor. Best one on the shelf. It'll carry you across the galaxy.

Coco: Thank you, Zinka. For everything.

Zinka: I spent six months trying to solve everything alone. And all it took was two strangers walking out of the dark.

Nova: Not strangers anymore.

Coco: Nova — the sun's coming up. I didn't know Planet Zork had a sunrise like that.

Nova: Rose gold and violet. The whole crystal forest is... singing.

Zinka: It does that every morning. I just never had anyone to share it with.

Coco: You'll be home soon. And when you get there — tell someone about this place.

Zinka: I will. Now go. Before I ask you to stay for breakfast.

Nova: Safe travels, Zinka.

Coco: Look back, Nova. She's still waving. All four arms.

Nova: I see her. We helped her find her way home.

Coco: And now we're finding ours. Nova?

Nova: Yes, Coco?

Coco: I think the Echo Grove was wrong about us.

Nova: It always is. When you're not facing it alone.
