## Story

Sam was tucked in tight. His blanket was warm and cozy, his pillow was soft as a cloud, and the room was very, very quiet. The kind of quiet that feels like a hug.

He turned his head toward the window. Outside, the sky was deep and dark and full of tiny, twinkling stars, and the moon was round and bright and golden, like a soft nightlight hanging up just for him.

And then... something small drifted past. A tiny cloud. Just one. It floated slowly across the window, soft and white and quiet as a whisper. It looked a little lost, drifting all by itself in that big, wide sky.

The little cloud drifted and drifted. And somewhere deep inside it — in the way a cloud thinks, which is very slow and soft and gentle — it had a wish. It wished it could be a pillow. A real, soft, cozy pillow, just like the fluffy one under Sam’s cheek, warm and still and just right.

So the little cloud tried. It puffed itself up, just a little bigger, round and full and billowy, like a big marshmallow floating in the dark. Soft like a cloud... but still floating. Still drifting. It couldn’t quite stay still.

It drifted down toward a tall, quiet tree and tried to rest softly on its branches, the way a blanket rests on a bed. But the wind gave a tiny, gentle nudge — just the softest little push — and the cloud floated on, still drifting, still searching.

It drifted closer to Sam’s window and tried to settle on the windowsill, soft and still, right there in the warm yellow glow. But it was a cloud, and clouds are made for floating. So it drifted on, slow and soft and quiet.

Sam watched, his eyes growing heavy and warm. He pressed his cheek a little deeper into his pillow — soft and warm and just right — and a slow, sleepy thought drifted through his mind, soft as the cloud outside...

The moon. The big, round, glowing moon... was resting. Right there, gently, against the little cloud. Leaning into it, soft and still, the way Sam leaned into his own pillow at night. The moon had been resting there all along.

The little cloud had been a pillow all along. A pillow for the moon. Every night, without even knowing, it had been doing exactly the right thing. Soft, and still, and just right.

And maybe the cloud felt it too — that warm, quiet feeling of being exactly where you belong. It stopped searching. It slowed. It rested, drifting gently, with the big round moon leaning soft against its side.

Sam’s eyes drifted closed, little by little. The window was a soft, dark square of quiet. The stars were still. The moon rested. The little cloud floated on, slow and soft and peaceful, carrying the moon through the night.

Outside, the sky was gentle and still. Inside, Sam was warm and cozy and safe. And everything — the cloud, the moon, the stars, and Sam — was right where it was meant to be. Soft. Quiet. Still.
