Bedtime stories about first times
First times are big for small children: the first haircut, the first flight, the first night away at a sleepover or camp. These themes let your child live through it in a story before the real day. Everyday firsts are here too, such as a trip to the library, the grocery store or the museum.
Most of these themes are for ages 3 to 6, with first overnight camp for ages 7 to 8. Pick the one that is coming up, then add the details you know, such as the name of the babysitter or where the plane is going.
